Cevec Pharmaceuticals
Cevec Pharmaceuticals, a German biopharmaceutical developer, has appointed Nicole Faust as Chief Scientific Officer, Hartmut Tintrup as Chief Business Officer, and Frank Ubags as Chief Operating Officer. Wolfgang Kintzel remains Chief Executive Officer.
The company’s cell production platform, CAP, is based on normal human amniocytes which express glycoproteins, to be used for gene therapy vectors, viruses and vaccines.
Welcoming the new executives, CEO Wolfgang Kintzel said the company aims to become the “the leading independent player for human cell line based clinical materials.” Kintzel previously worked at gene transfer biotech Amaxa AG as Global VP of Marketing and Sales from 2000 to 2008, when the company was bought by Lonza. He joined Cevec as MD in 2010.
